Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Shop Floor Workflow: Oversee daily activities on the shop floor, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Shipping Coordination: Oversee the shipping department, ensuring all products are packaged securely and shipped or delivered on time.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet quality standards before shipping.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise shop floor employees, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of shipping materials and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies.
- Process Improvement: Working with the Shop Production Manager to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Documentation: Maintain and create accurate records of production and shipping activities, including tracking shipments and managing paperwork.
- Job Site Deliveries: Occasionally deliver products to job sites, requiring the candidate to be insurable and have a clean driving record.
