Inside Sales Representative – Grain Trading

About Us:
Dakota AgSynergy LLC is an independent grain trading company specializing in pulse crops, edible beans, sunflowers, flax, barley, and more. We are seeking a highly motivated, social, and driven Inside Sales Representative – Grain Trading to manage and expand relationships with trade customers, including processors, exporters, feed buyers, and food manufacturers.
Position Overview:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling grain to trade customers, developing long-term partnerships, and driving new business opportunities. This role requires a proactive approach, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build rapport quickly. While this position is primarily office-based, occasional travel will be required to visit customers, attend industry events, and strengthen business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade customers, including grain processors, exporters, and feed buyers.
- Execute grain sales transactions, negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and contract details.
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities and expand Dakota AgSynergy’s customer base.
- Monitor commodity markets, price trends, and supply/demand shifts to provide valuable insights to customers.
- Travel occasionally to meet customers, build relationships, and attend industry events.
- Work closely with logistics and accounting teams to ensure smooth contract execution.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer interactions in CRM or internal systems.
- Provide outstanding customer service and become a trusted advisor to buyers.
Qualifications:

- Sales or trading experience, preferably in grain, feed ingredients, or commodities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with a strong drive to succeed and grow the business.
- Ability to analyze market data and make informed trading decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry networking.
