Dakota Psychological Services LLC, established in 2004, is a well-respected forensic mental health private practice located in Sioux Falls, SD. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced counselor to join our dynamic team and help us continue delivering top-quality mental health services. This job is located in Sioux Falls, SD., with the possibility of some telehealth sessions.

Job Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to adult male / female clients under supervision by the Department of Corrections or Probation.

Maintain accurate and ethical client records, adhering to all legal and professional standards.

Participate in weekly case staffing.

Stay informed on current research and best practices in mental health counseling through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications :

A master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Licensure as a counselor (LPC, LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent) in the state of South Dakota.

Strong clinical skills with knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to professional ethics and standards.

Flexibility and adaptability in managing challenges or changes in the work environment.

Experience working with adults or juveniles in the criminal justice system is a bonus but not required.
