What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Tech position at Dakota Radiology?
Mammography Technologist.
Looking for a radiology technologist to join our breast imaging team and perform screening and diagnostic mammography. Will work closely with breast radiologist performing breast related procedures. Future growth opportunities for learning and performing breast ultrasound. Will also perform DEXA examinations and some limited general radiology in our friendly outpatient imaging clinic.
If you do not have previous mammography experience, we are willing to train the right Radiology technologist. We can offer flexible hours for the right candidate. Excellent benefits including paid time off, health insurance and 401(k).
Experience or Job Knowledge:
- 1- 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
- Mammography experience preferred.
- Fluent knowledge of anatomy, understanding principles and physics, to obtain clear diagnostic images.
- Computer experience: with EMRs and PACS systems
Education or Certifications:
- High school graduate or diploma equivalent (GED) required
- Certified, current, active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Mammography certification is preferred.
- CPR certified required
Mammography technologist performing screening and diagnostic mammography examinations. Assist the Radiologists during procedures and perform general radiology and DEXA examinations.
