Dakota State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Track / Cross Country Coach to lead the development, administration, and growth of our track and cross country programs. The Head Coach will be responsible for fostering a positive team culture, mentoring student-athletes, and ensuring both academic and athletic success. This is a full-time position that requires effective leadership, dedication to student-athletes’ success, and a strong commitment to achieving competitive excellence.

Key Responsibilities :
- Recruiting Athletes – Develop and implement strategies for identifying and recruiting talented student-athletes.
- Coaching and Practice Management – Plan and conduct practices and event coaching.
- Scholarship Allocation – Manage scholarship distribution based on program needs and recruit potential student-athletes.
- Strategy Development – Determine the overall strategy for the program, including scholarship allocation, competition scheduling, and the delegation of responsibilities to assistant coaches.
- Monitor Academic Progress – Track academic performance and ensure eligibility requirements are met.
- Retention – Foster an environment conducive to long-term student-athlete success, retention, and graduation.
- Budget Management – Oversee the program’s budget and fundraising efforts.
