Dakota State University invites applications for the position of Transfer Admissions Counselor. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills to provide exceptional support to undergraduate transfer students. As a Transfer Admissions Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through DSU’s educational programs, admission and enrollment process, financial aid opportunities, and more. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions.

- Conduct on-campus and virtual admission visits to engage with prospective transfer students.
- Represent DSU at regional transfer college fairs, fostering relationships with community colleges and institutions with articulation agreements.
- Develop communication plans and leverage CRM technology to effectively manage student messaging.
- Collaborate in planning and executing new student registration and orientation sessions.
- Perform preliminary transfer course evaluations to ensure smooth credit transfer.
- Offer expertise in the transfer of dual credit courses.
- Work closely with advising staff, forming an integral part of a transfer student’s success network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Willingness to travel as required for the position.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
