DSG is seeking two Inventory Planning Analysts within DSG's footprint, one for the East District and one for the West. As an Inventory Planning Analyst, you will be responsible be responsible for managing inventory levels and ensuring we have the right inventory at the right place and at the right time. This role will involve collaboration with various departments to align inventory strategies and intentions across the organization.

A Typical Day in the Life of an Inventory Planning Analyst at DSG:
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, segments, and operations teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives.
- Collaborate with branches to ensure proper inventory support and provide solutions to branch inventory and market challenges.
- Understanding and support of segment strategies to ensure inventory as an enabler.
- Develop and maintain inventory reporting systems to provide insights into inventory performance and trends.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Establish routines and governance for regular inventory reviews.
- Implement best practices in inventory management, including just-in-time (JIT) strategies and safety stock optimization.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on inventory strategies and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure significant reduction in excess inventory by implementing efficiencies and overall tracking systems.
- Assist in the development of inventory planning tools and methodologies to support decision-making.
- Support the implementation of inventory management software and tools.
- All other duties as assigned
A Successful Inventory Planning Analyst Typically Has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory analysis or management within the wholesale distribution industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Eclipse, SparksIQ, EBA, and Power BI is preferred.
