GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for performing the duties of one stage of the powder coat process. Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment and using proper safety technique.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on safety.
Completes all documentation as required for each job.
Continuous learning with regard to machine operation in order to gain skills and proficiency to operate more complicated machines on more difficult work, including machine setup.
Works with close supervision in coordination with other team members and other departments in the company.
Actively eliminates potential hazards.
Maintains regular and timely attendance.
Prep
Hang and handle material
Properly inspect equipment and parts to ensure quality.
Sands products by utilizing various sanding equipment.
Manage documents and keep product inventory.
Powder Coat Application
Applies powder primers & powder coating finishes
Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment on a daily basis.
Monitors machines at all times for proper operation.
Take down & Packaging
Inspecting finished products to ensure quality is met.
Take down and packaging of powder coated products.
Manage documents and keep product inventory.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED.
Advanced education a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Familiar with spray and polymer applicators a plus.
Experience & Knowledge of powder coating systems.
Knowledge of aluminum powder coating concepts and industry best practices.
Previous experience in direct manufacturing preferred
Must have good critical process thinking skills
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail
Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and tolerate repetitive manual work tasks
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Wear a fit-tested respirator if required.
Will work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective cloth
