Supply Chain Analyst
JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a key role in optimizing the company's supply chain operations by analyzing data, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending solutions to improve performance and reduce costs. The Supply Chain Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Data Management & Reporting:
Utilize ERP and commodity management systems to track purchases, analyze performance metrics, generate reports, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
2. Inventory & Storage Optimization:
Track inventory levels across storage facilities, optimize stock levels, and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure efficient movement and handling of grain.
3. Cost Analysis:
Conduct cost-benefit analysis on supply chain processes, identifying areas where cost
savings can be achieved while maintaining or improving quality and service.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, FSMA, and other relevant industry regulations, managing documentation for traceability, quality control, and safety standards.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with purchasing, finance, operations, and logistics teams to align supply chain strategies with company goals and maximize profitability.
6. Market & Commodity Analysis:
Monitor grain market trends, pricing fluctuations, and global supply/demand
factors to support informed purchasing decisions and risk management strategies.
7. Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Identify inefficiencies in procurement, transportation, and inventory management, implementing process improvements to reduce costs and improve supply chain reliability.
8. Procurement & Contract Management:
Assist in negotiating grain purchase contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, favorable terms, and compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or equivalent.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets and extract
meaningful insights.
3. Two – four years experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or a related field preferred.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
5. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
7. Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
