The ideal candidate will be responsible for initiating and managing projects, providing technical advice, controlling costs, and maximizing project profitability. The role involves coordinating and communicating with peers, preparing high-quality reports, and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Initiate projects and establish project teams
- Manage project implementation and ensure adherence to work scope, budget, and schedule
- Coordinate and communicate with peers to avoid schedule conflicts
- Provide technical advice and contribute to project recommendations
- Maintain project status reporting system and prepare high-quality reports
- Communicate potential new business opportunities and competitive information to the company
- Control project costs and maximize profitability
- Manage and develop project staff
- Solicit new clients and projects and maintain contact with existing clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Proven experience in project management within the mechanical industry
- Strong technical expertise and ability to provide advice and recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and control costs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proactive approach to relationship building with clients and peers
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred
