Where is this opportunity located?  

Position located in Brookings, South Dakota.  

 

What will the work look like for me?   

Work as a member of the Live Events Manufacturing Fulfillment Team to help us build the right parts and at the right time to meet our customer’s expectations.   

  • Develop working relationships with internal customers (production, production supervisors, master scheduler). 
    • Communicate production plan with these groups. 
    • Work on improvement projects with these groups.   
  • Analyze exception reports to build the right parts, at the right time, in the right quantities. 
    • Learn from shortages and escalations to continuously improve planning methods. 
    • Update item attributes as needed. 
    • Follow PFEP item attribute standards. 
  • Update and maintain production schedule. 
    • Create work orders as needed. 
    • Clear parts for the “next job.” 
      • Escalate shortages to Buyer and Supply Supervisor. 
  • Run Horizontal reports as assigned to keep track of demand/supply for make items. 
  • Update tier boards with assigned metrics. 
    • Help determine what is a green versus red status. 
    • Provide explanations and action plans to move from red to green status. 
  • Work effectively as a team member, helping when and where needed, make, and implement suggestions for process improvement.  
    • Use lean process improvement initiatives. 
  • Manage and adjust the daily production schedule. 
    • Handle prioritizing of items based on Supply Supervisor, Master Scheduler, or Fulfillment Team Manager requests. 
    • Note deviated work orders and process accordingly. 
  • Participate in quarterly review of items that appear to have excess. 
    • Determine if/why it is excess. 
    • Make consumption plan. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Business Economics, or comparable degree required. 
  • Material/production control or logistics experience preferred. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Good computer skills required. Software includes Glovia, Amdocs and Microsoft Office package. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision. 
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to prioritize in addition to being able to adapt to change. 
  • Previous work experience demonstrating participation as a member of a team. 
  • Previous work experience working with minimal supervision and exercising discretion and independent judgment. 
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds. 
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. 
  • Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
