The Sr Applications Analyst is a high performing contributor that works to facilitate and support application functional specifications and projects by analyzing business requirements and project objectives. This role works on functions and projects by utilizing strong knowledge of industry practices and standards and influencing others within the job area to resolve routine issues and develop innovative solutions to enhance work and address business challenges.
Duties And Responsibilities Of The Position
- Conduct workshops that help stakeholders understand the functionality of system software and how the software can be adopted to meet their needs.
- Meet with customers and partners to outline expectations.
- Conduct blueprint sessions to define stakeholder alignment. Gather and evaluate project requirements.
- Make process and business decisions based on understanding of company and customer as well as industry practices, standards, and trends.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical users: business stakeholders, developers, end users, and Project Managers.
- Manage follow-ups and action items from workshop sessions with Consultants, SDMs, and/or Account Managers.
- Serve as a functional advisor and problem solver to stakeholders to assist them in optimizing their use of the product suite to define, build and deploy online e-commerce (B2B, B2C) applications.
- Perform high quality analysis reliably and consistently.
- Find ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.
- Discuss best practices for system projects across multiple methodologies: waterfall, agile, SCRUM, etc.
- Keep up to date on current and road mapped Hybris features, functionality, and terminology.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software business analysis or consulting.
- At least 3 years of experience in e-commerce or PIM systems.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms preferred.
- Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
