Accounting Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of technical accounting principles and financial management practices. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounts receivable, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.

Duties

• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including debits and credits.
• Utilize Sage Intacct software for accounting tasks and reporting.
• Assist in forecasting financial performance based on historical data and current trends.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to support compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze financial concepts and provide insights for decision-making.

Experience

• Proven experience in an accounting role, with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable, within the construction industry.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger functions.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply complex financial concepts effectively.
• Experience in mentoring or training staff is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
