Join our dynamic team at Dale Howard Auto Center of Waverly as a B-Level Auto Technician! Were seeking a skilled professional, preferably with Chrysler experience, to help drive excellence in our service department.
Purpose of the Position :
Provides automotive services by performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely and according to quality and time standards set by the dealership.
Essential Job Functions :
- Completes service and repair assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections or test drives, while documenting all steps involved in this process
- Actively listens to concerns, takes action to respond to others needs
- Promotes dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area
- Promotes a productive working relationship with others
- Speaks clearly, concisely and effectively
- Make all decisions and performs all actions in adherence to our dealerships core values of authentic, driven, opportunity, giving back and being a team player
- Maintain production levels set by service management
- Maintain manufacturer specific training certification levels set by management
Daily Tasks :
Be at work station ready to start work at assigned timeUse dealer management system to track and document repairsComplete multi-point inspection on every vehicle.Test drive vehicles to verify customers concern and repairRecord all required diagnostic codes / measurements / informationAccess repair information on manufacturer and other websites as requiredUtilize technical assistance and other resources to diagnose vehiclePerform accurate detailed vehicle diagnosisPrint and attach any supporting documents used to repair orderWork with parts personnel to obtain part pricing and availabilityRepair vehicle using established acceptable repair procedures in a timely mannerMaintain cleanliness of customers vehicleMaintain organization and cleanliness of work area and dealer owned equipmentAssist other technicians when requiredCompletes repair orders within specified time frame as directedNotifies Shop Foreman and or Service Advisor if delays are expectedPhysical Requirements :
Moving about the dealership to complete auto service and repairUsing hand and / or power tools and equipment consistent with industry standardsStanding for 6 to 9 hours in a shiftNormal color vision and depth perception. Visual acuity correctable to 20 / 20Ability to read information from printed sources and computer screensFrequent bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbingUtilizing physical and manual dexterity, repetitive hand movementsLifting up to 70 lbs unassisted.
