Deli Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving deli products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that food safety standards are met and that our customers have a positive experience. Duties

• Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
• Operate cash register and POS systems efficiently to process customer transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including bussing tables and cleaning equipment.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations about products.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations at all times.
• Stock shelves and display cases with fresh products to maintain an appealing presentation.
• Collaborate with team members to meet customer needs and enhance service efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or grocery store setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are upheld.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving products.
