Our team is working with a leading credit hedge fund based in Boston looking to hire a Fund Accounting & Operations Manager to their growing team. Reporting to the CFO, the candidate coming in will be responsible for full cycle fund accounting & operations for the fund while receiving support from their fund administrator.

Reporting to the CFO, the candidate coming in will be responsible for full cycle fund accounting & operations for the fund while receiving support from their fund administrator.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily trade and cash reconciliations between internal systems and prime brokers/custodians/banks.
- Ensure all trades are settled accurately and in a timely manner, coordinating with counterparties and service providers as needed.
- Maintain and update the firm’s shadow accounting system daily, ensuring alignment with fund administrator; collaborate with the Accounting Manager to review and confirm entries.
- Conduct detailed reviews of monthly accounting reports and investor statements prepared by the fund administrator, ensuring accuracy and consistency before they are distributed to investors.
- Provide operational and accounting support to portfolio managers, investor relations, and compliance as required.
- Assist with the implementation of new technologies, tools, or software solutions to improve efficiency in the operational and accounting workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in public accounting or hedge fund operations/accounting
- Understanding of financial instruments (specifically credit instruments) and fund structures
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems or financial software is a plus.
- CPA preferred.
