Corporate Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking candidates for a Corporate Staff Accountant at a technology co. with a location in Waltham MA, 02452. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant month-end experience, CPA preferred.

This is a temporary role, estimated duration 6 months.

Hourly pay rate: $45-$55 based on relative work experience within a 40-hour work week

Responsibilities

• Maintain A/R and A/P sub-ledgers
• Prepare and book journal entries
• Month End Closings
• Prepare draft financial statements. analyze financial statement balances, trial balances, subsidiary ledgers, and identify variances
• Fixed Assets
• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Prepare for Audits (financial, bank and sales tax)
• Ad Hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Monthly, quarterly and year-end general ledger reconciliations
• Compilation of monthly reports including all financial statements and analysis
• Make deposits and issue disbursements
• Charitable foundation reporting and reconciliation
• Monitor bank activity
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage journal entries and month end statements with required analysis and interpretation
• 3 years of directly related accounting experience
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Must have high sense of urgency
• Extremely well organized
• Strong Communication skills both written and oral
• NetSuite or other ERP system experience a plus
