Fund Accountant/Senior Fund Accountant (Hybrid, Boston)

A successful investment management firm in Boston with over 9B AUM is currently seeking a seasoned Fund Accountant/ Senior Fund Accountant to join their team. This person ideally has public accounting/audit experience working with PE/VC/ Financial services clients or has a mix of public accounting and private industry fund accounting experience. This is a hybrid role in Boston that is offering a strong compensation package.

This position will also entertain a delayed start date.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Oversee the daily fund accounting activities for multiple investment funds, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Net Asset Value, portfolio valuations, and performance calculations
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for funds under management
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting to clients, auditors, and regulatory bodies
• Assist with year-end audits and tax reporting by preparing working papers and documentation for external auditors and tax professionals.
• Previous public accounting/audit experience strongly preferred (Must have PE/VC/Financial Services clients)
• Private industry fund accounting experience a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Finance or related field required
• Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule in Boston
