Private Equity Accountant (Hybrid, Boston)
A successful PE Firm in Boston is actively seeking a seasoned fund accounting professional to join their team as a Private Equity Accountant. This person has 3-6 years of either public accounting experience working on financial services clients, or has a mix of public accounting and private industry fund accounting experience. This is a hybrid role that is offering a strong compensation package (base bonus) and a lot of room for continued growth.

This person has 3-6 years of either public accounting experience working on financial services clients, or has a mix of public accounting and private industry fund accounting experience. Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for private equity funds, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records for each fund
- Prepare investor capital call and distribution notices, quarterly investor statements, and other investor communication documents
- Assist in the valuation process for the portfolio companies, including gathering data, calculating valuations, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, investor, and general ledger reconciliations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for audits, assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and supporting materials
- Provide accounting support for fund formation, capital raising, and deal structuring activities
- Assist in the preparation and review of tax filings for the funds and underlying entities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- Must have either public accounting experience working on financial services clients, or a mix of public accounting and private industry fund accounting experience
- 3-6 years’ experience
- Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule in Boston
