Staff Accountant - Hallandale Beach - Health & Wellness
Our team is working with a leading health & wellness company developing supplements to increase athletic performance with backing from several professional athletes looking to hire a Staff Accountant to their growing team. The Staff Accountant will be providing support to the organization’s finance department by managing daily accounting and finance tasks. Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to, recording all transactions related to revenue and expenses, and reconciling all accounts for monthly and annual closing of the books.

The Staff Accountant will be providing support to the organization’s finance department by managing daily accounting and finance tasks. Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to, recording all transactions related to revenue and expenses, and reconciling all accounts for monthly and annual closing of the books.
Responsibilities:
- Strong accounting experience in AP, AR, inventory, prepaids, accruals, maintaining GL, and researching discrepancies.
- Bank Reconciliation & Credit Card Reconciliation
- Maintain records of financial transactions by posting, verifying, and allocating appropriately within accounting systems
- Perform reconciliations – monthly/quarterly/annually
- Maintain complete digital files and work papers that support financial records
- Update financial data promptly and ensure it is accurate via weekly soft reconciliations
- Assist in year-end audit requests
- Knowledge of best practices for performing month-end closings
- Ability to track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
- Understanding of how to prepare the trial balance
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures (GAAP)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance
- At least 2-5 years’ progressively responsible experience in Accounting and Financial management practices
- Understanding of how to prepare the trial balance

- Working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Sharepoint, etc.)
- CRM Experience preferred ( Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)
- E-commerce Platform Experience desirable (Amazon, Shopify, Big Commerce, etc.)
- Experience with AP tools such as Bill.com
- Ability to work with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements
Salary : $85,000
