What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Educational Aide position at Dalhart High School?
Purpose:
Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing of classroom activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency certificate.
- Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics
- Ability to work well with students
- Ability to communicate effectively
Experience:
- Enjoy cooking, culinary experience is preferred, but not necessary
- Some experience working with students
Responsibilities:
- Help supervise students throughout school day, inside the classroom and the culinary lab.
- Assist teacher and students in cleaning and properly maintaining the culinary lab.
- Make teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Provide instruction to students under the direction of the teacher, work with individual students or small groups.
- Track inventory and restocking inventory.
- Assist with culinary lab prep and clean up.
