What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Supervisor position at Dallas Area Rapid Transit?
General Summary :
Supervises and participates in the counting, sorting, and preparing cash and fare revenue for daily bank deposits; prepares and maintains related records and reports; and performs related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervises personnel involved in revenue processing and ensures procedures and controls are correctly followed. Assists with correcting problems that require immediate action and submits reports to management.
- Verifies the accuracy of cash counts and records of receipts; records amounts and summaries of daily receipts; prepares bank deposit documents; prepares timely and accurate reports for revenue collected from TVMs and Bus Transportation Divisions.
- Provides security over DART funds, section property, equipment, keys, and locks. Ensure all containers, bags, and pallets are marked and clearly identified.
- Maintain inventory for all revenue collection and processing equipment, including mobile bins, cashboxes, TVM hoppers, vaults, and money-counting machines.
- Reviews procedures and practices and recommends changes to management where appropriate. Provides personnel with instructions and on-the-job training as needed.
- Assists with special projects and other directly related revenue activities as required. Interviews, selects, develops, trains, evaluates, and counsels personnel according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce count room personnel performance metrics and ensure cash processing meets or exceeds established deposit timelines.
- Report all security breaches to management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :
Note : An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums, excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
Working Conditions :
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DARTs operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
