What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist Part-time Weekends position at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital?
We are searching for a receptionist to greet and assist patients, family members, physicians, hospital staff, vendors, and visitors. The Receptionist will answer telephones and verbally communicate effectively, responding promptly to general information, requesting and conveying messages.
Weekends
Saturday-Sunday
3pm-11pm
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Maintains accurate records, logs and current patient within the information system and on appropriate forms.
- Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to word processing, copying, filing, faxing, answering phones and data entry.
- Provides information to callers according to the hospital Policies and Procedures, transfers
- calls as needed; works to ensure adequate phone coverage at all times.
- Welcomes and greets patients / clients / visitors to the department in a manner that is helpful and friendly.
- Adheres to all hospital policies on safety and security
- Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Maintains waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is organized and neat.
- Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed.
Requirements
Must have basic PC skills that include a combination of working in a Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
