Job Summary
As a Whatnot Streamer, you will host engaging live streams to showcase and sell sports cards, memorabilia, and other collectibles on the Whatnot platform. The ideal candidate is charismatic, knowledgeable about sports cards and the collectibles market, and has a passion for creating exciting, interactive experiences for viewers.
Key Responsibilities
- Host live-streamed auctions and sales on Whatnot, representing the Dallas Card Show in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
- Showcase products (sports cards, memorabilia, and collectibles) in a way that highlights their value and appeals to the audience.
- Engage with viewers during streams, answering questions, and building a sense of community.
- Manage the auction process, ensuring accurate descriptions, smooth bidding, and timely sales transactions.
- Promote upcoming events, exclusive deals, and Dallas Card Show news during streams to drive interest and attendance.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure inventory is prepared, priced, and organized before streams.
- Monitor sales performance and viewer feedback to improve future streams.
- Collaborate with sponsors and partners to integrate their products or promotions into the streams when necessary.
- Stay updated on trends in live streaming and collectibles to keep streams innovative and exciting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience hosting live streams or public-facing events, preferably on platforms like Whatnot, YouTube, or Twitch.
- Strong knowledge of sports cards, collectibles, and the trading card market.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a charismatic on-camera presence.
- Comfortable multitasking during live streams (e.g., engaging with the audience while managing auctions).
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to troubleshoot basic streaming or platform issues.
- Highly organized, with attention to detail for inventory management and auction processes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on streaming schedules.
- Passion for the collectibles industry and the Dallas Card Show brand.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with the Whatnot platform and its auction features.
