Job Summary
The Manager, Workforce Community Center promotes nontraditional educational programs, to meet the needs of a multi-cultural community. The Workforce Community Center Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Operations and :
Ability to empathize with students and stakeholders of greatly varied experiences, and an appreciation for community-centered solutions.
Recognize emerging issues and create frameworks for collaboration that foster training opportunities for constituents.
Supports educational programs designed to promote skills-based learning and certification attainment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Identify and foster relationships with existing community and business leaders.
Support ongoing workforce development training programs with logistical and material coordination for
Promote high-demand programs tailored to community and local industry needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Networking aptitude.
Great attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years college (preferred) or High School Diploma with two (2) years' experience in workforce development and / or apprenticeship projects (required).
Two (2) years' supervisory experience
Two (2) years' experience organizing and coordinating groups for various activities.
Official transcripts are required.
Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
- Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining and managing a pipeline of candidates to fill skills-based learning and training programs.
Communities point of contact for recruitment of workforce training pipeline.
Community outreach and engagement of business and industry partners.
Research surrounding eco-system, identify key stakeholders and establish partnerships to support program self-sufficiency and long-term sustainability.
Collaborate with Schools of and business and industry partners to develop customized training solutions embedded with industry recognized credentials and certifications.
Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with community partners.
Responsible for maintaining a log of all the people they contact.
Completes required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
Performs other duties as assigned.
