Job Description
Assists in coordinating and monitoring programs, services or contracts for the department to include: collecting, maintaining and analyzing data, identifying and reconciling deficiencies, recommending corrective action and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures and all mandated federal, state and local laws and regulations and may provide advanced administrative support to medium and large departments and coordinate/supervise office procedures.

Education, Experience and Training:
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business, or in a job related field of study.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.
Depending on the location, this position may require the incumbent pass an extensive background investigation. “Position may require working with juveniles who may have committed dangerous/aggressive acts; should possess a high tolerance for working in an emotionally demanding/stressful work environment.”
Physical/Environmental Requirements
Standard office environment. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking and ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.

Responsibilities
- Assists in monitoring all operational activities related to programs, services or contracts to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Researches, collects, and analyzes data to complete a variety of projects, reports and inquiries.
- Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining database systems used to monitor and analyze operational activities.
- Assists in coordinating, collecting and analyzing data; prepares reports; and recommends actions, as necessary. May assist with budget preparation and monitoring and acquisition of supplies/ services.
- Serves as a liaison by interacting with staff, other County departments, service providers, agencies and the general public related to program activities to facilitate functions and flow of information.
- Assists in the creation, update and implementation of plans, objectives, policies and procedures, and performs other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
- May supervise or provide lead support to other staff in distributing work assignments, training new employees, and assisting with daily assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
