- Performs duties required for the position using good safety workmanship
- Follows the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, Lead person or Department Head in completing assigned work
- Performs all activities using good safety practices. Manages routine work activities using good safety practices
- Operates district vehicles when needed using good safety practices
- Operates hand/power equipment required in the craft
- Maintains tools, equipment, and supplies assigned
- Requests supervisory assistance in areas in which expertise is lacking
- Selects and uses the proper tools and equipment required for the assigned work
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
- All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate
- Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) preferred.
- One (1) year of directly related experience
- Basic literacy, including command of the English language.
- Must possess the physical ability to meet the requirements of the position.
- Knowledge of District organizations and operations as required.
- Dependable work experience preferred.
- Must maintain a Texas Driver's License that meets Dallas ISD standards.
- Must be able to pass the Dallas ISD random drug test.
