We are currently seeking a Full-Time Workers' Compensation Coordinator and Front Office administrative assistant in a fast-growing orthopedic clinic, who can start ASAP.
JOB SUMMARY: Customer service orientation and thorough understanding of Texas Work Comp regulations and procedures, you will register patients, coordinate with adjuster of WC insurance carriers and injured workers/patients for appropriate appointments with a suitable provider in the network. Be able to answer telephone calls and update employers, adjusters, insurance networks, and patients. Verify WC benefits and complete DWCs. Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
Greet patients, register patients, answer and triage telephone calls, prepare the office for the day, and schedule patient appointments. Schedule all office visit appointments, direct new patients to the practice's Website for information. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, Collect balances and copays from patients.
Locations: Sunnyvale, TX and Kaufman, TX ***flexibility to cover at either location
Compensation: Starting with a 90-day trial period, average of 40 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Great customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications.
- Have a thorough understanding of specialists' roles in provider care to injured workers.
- Be helpful to injured workers about process.
- Be helpful to all patients
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously, multi-tasking.
- Proven experience handling irate patient/customers and dealing with conflict.
- Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments in EMR.
- Pleasant, professional speaking voice and demeanor.
- Neat, professional appearance.
- Be able to work independently and as a team.
- Communicate with your team via phone, text, and email in a timely manner.
- Type at least 40 wpm.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
- Available to cover in Kaufman and Sunnyvale office as needed.
- Past medical experience, especially with workers' compensation, required.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
