About the Position
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) for the Dallas Public Facility Corporation (DPFC) will support the General Manager in overseeing all operations of the corporation, focusing on the development, management, and sustainability of mixed-income multifamily residential projects and public facilities across the City of Dallas. As the AGM, you will assist the General Manager in managing day-to-day operations, including project planning, financial analysis, partner management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist in developing and managing a pipeline of mixed-income multifamily and public facility projects under the guidance of the General Manager.
- Partner & Stakeholder Engagement: Support the General Manager in cultivating and maintaining relationships with development partners, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Administrative Management: Provide administrative support by preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring that Board packets are accurately compiled and distributed.
- Financial Oversight: Work with the Treasurer to monitor and track the DPFC’s financial performance, including budget preparation, cost management, and compliance with financial audits.
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist in ensuring compliance with affordability requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards for all projects and partnerships.
- Data Analysis & Research: Gather, analyze, and present data to support project development, performance metrics, and decision-making processes.
- Team Collaboration: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external teams, facilitating communication and coordination across departments and partners.
- Operational Support: Support the General Manager in addressing operational challenges, optimizing business processes, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Finance, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of Multifamily contract negotiation, underwriting, and transactional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or support role with responsibilities such as financial oversight, project coordination, and contract administration.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including developers, government officials, and community members.
- Familiarity with financial analysis, budgets, and compliance monitoring in the real estate or public sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and real estate development software.
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledge of City of Dallas, State of Texas, and Federal Housing policies and funding sources.
- Public speaking experience or comfort in presenting to Board members, external partners, and community groups.
- Experience with community engagement and public-private partnership development.
