What are the responsibilities and job description for the Artistic Operations Coordinator position at Dallas Symphony Association Inc?
The Dallas Symphony Association has an exciting opportunity for an articulate and mature individual to serve as the Artistic Operations Coordinator. This position manages, as part of the DSO's Artistic Operations team, the servicing for all guest artists and guest conductors for Pops, DSP and Classical weeks, from their arrival in Dallas to departure. This involves serving as the logistical point of contact for guest soloists and conductors while in town, providing ground transportation as needed, and tending to any hospitality needs the artists may have or require by contract while in town with the DSO. This does not include servicing for the Music Director.
Duties include (but are not limited to) :
Logistical Details
- Plan and follow-through with the implementation of all service and hospitality details for all guest artists at the DSO, ensuring a smooth and successful operational outcome for all rehearsals and concerts during the artist's engagement in Dallas.
- With Director of Orchestra Operations and Pops Programming, Senior Manager of Artistic Administration, and Manager of Artistic Operations and Touring, work collaboratively - in compliance with guest artists' contracts – to ensure that all logistics and servicing requirements for all guest artists are accurate and provided in a timely manner.
- Book travel, hotel and ground transportation, and prepare itineraries for all guest artists and guest conductors involved with Pops and DSPs specifically, and process finance payments for those artists specifically.
