Director of Surgical Services
- Lead Excellence in Perioperative Care
Take the lead as Director of Surgical Services, overseeing high-performing surgical teams and driving operational excellence across two campuses. This role offers the opportunity to shape perioperative services, promote growth, and deliver unparalleled patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $133,494 - $200,241 (based on experience and equity evaluation).
Annual Bonus: 15% Director Bonus (performance-based).
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

Role Highlights Oversight:
25 ORs at the main campus (Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Hospital).
3 ORs at the second campus.
Team Management:
Direct oversight of 5 managers and 230 FTEs.
Case Load:
Approximately 1,000 cases per month.
Special focus on trauma, burn, surgical oncology, neuro, and orthopedics.
Key Responsibilities
Lead perioperative teams with a focus on patient safety and operational excellence.
Develop and implement programs to ensure consistent quality care aligned with organizational goals.
Foster collaboration and build strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
Drive growth strategies to make the OR the facility of choice for physicians, patients, and payers.
Manage fiscal operations, including budget development and capital equipment requests.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and safety protocols.
Mentor and develop future leaders within the department.
Monitor and improve performance metrics through quality event reporting and PI programs.
Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing required.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years as Director of Surgical Services in an acute care setting.
Licensure & Certification:
Active RN license required.
CNOR or CSSM certification preferred.
Skills:
Proven ability to manage large surgical teams and oversee multiple OR locations.
Strong background in trauma, burn care, and elective surgical services preferred.
