Position Title: Obstetric Surgery Manager

Overview
A large multi-specialty hospital in Texas with over 360 beds is seeking a highly qualified Obstetric Surgery Manager. The facility offers a range of advanced services, including a Level III NICU, 24-hour emergency care, comprehensive heart and vascular services, robotic surgery, and specialized neurology and neurosurgery care. This opportunity involves managing a dynamic Obstetric Surgery department with significant growth potential and advanced clinical specialties.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the Obstetric Surgery department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Implement evidence-based clinical practices to enhance safety and improve quality outcomes.
Develop and sustain accountability measures for staff to ensure adherence to clinical care standards and drive improvement in key metrics.
Coordinate interdisciplinary care to ensure efficient admissions, discharges, and patient throughput.
Oversee staff scheduling, training, and ongoing professional development to maintain clinical excellence.
Act as a key stakeholder in expansion projects, ensuring operational readiness for additional OR rooms.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including maintaining equipment according to safety and accreditation requirements.
Champion patient satisfaction initiatives, utilizing feedback to improve the overall patient experience.
Facilitate collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure seamless surgical services and patient care.
Required Qualifications
Education: BSN required
Certifications:
BLS required
Specialty Certification required within 6 months of hire
ACLS, NRP, FHM, and RNC-OB preferred
Licensure:
Must hold or be eligible for RN licensure in Texas or compact licensure
Compact license holders must apply for a Texas RN license within 60 days of hire and obtain it within 6 months
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role (Manager-level experience preferred)
At least 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting
