Job Description
Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of DTS-Arabic will help to oversee and implement administrative, technical, and promotional tasks related to the DTS-Arabic Language Program as assigned by the Director of DTS-Arabic.
Duties/Responsibilities
Arabic Courses
-
Communicate with professors,
-
Develop and set up courses for online offerings.
Recruiting
-
Travel for recruiting purposes,
-
Coordinate promotional events and materials,
-
Meet with prospective students through scheduled appointments on campus or online to introduce them to the Seminary,
-
Provide a tour of the campus if applicable.
Admissions
-
Counsel admissions prospects regarding degree program choice,
-
Translate Arabic applications for Director of Admissions to review,
-
Evaluate new applications in coordination with DTS-Arabic Director.
Advising and Registration
-
Facilitate student matriculation as accepted students,
-
Ensure academic advising support for current students.
Administration
-
Track and enter data in the DTS-Arabic database,
-
Troubleshoot and coordinate operating systems,
-
Update and maintain DTS-Arabic website,
-
Assist with other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Director of DTS-Arabic.

Education & Experience:

Proven written and oral proficiency in both Arabic and English languages

Bachelor’s degree in theological studies (a master's degree is strongly preferred)

Experience in leadership and management (preferred).
Physical Requirements:

Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer,

Able to lift at least 15 pounds at times,

Capable of long-distance travel.
