JOB DESCRIPTION
PARTS SPECIALIST
Areas of Responsibilities and Duties :
Able to follow company and department policies and procedures
Must be forklift certified or able to pass and obtain
Receiving of inventory and incoming shipments, including identifying damage or shortages
Pick, pull, process and ship outgoing orders
Stock inventory according to assigned bin location
Pull parts for work-in-process and deliver to job location on site
Safely load and secure large items or large quantities of items for transport in or on truck or trailer
Professionally, and with excellent customer service, interact with customers
Perform cycle counts and inventory counts as needed or requested
Notify management of stock, equipment or building damage
Ensure a safe, organized and tidy workspace
Clean and perform housekeeping duties of warehouse and parts department working areas. Includes sweeping, cleaning, and trash removal
Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills and able to support coworkers
Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines, as well as common sense safety practice
Skills and Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Able to pass background check
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a team
Efficient worker
Excellent communication skills
Basic math skills
Understanding of units of measure
Able to read and interpret documents such as packing slips and invoices
Able to pass drug test
Able to be pass medical physical exam
Physical Demands / Abilities performed throughout the duration of the work shift.
Heavy Work- Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and / or up to 50lbs of force frequently or up to 20lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including other job related items.
Walking / Standing for sustained periods of time.
Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using entire body
Stooping / Crouching – Bending body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs, and spine.
Balancing – Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling.
Kneeling / Crawling – Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee(s) or moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Whole Hand / Fingers – Picking, pinching, typing with fingers and grasping with the fingers and palm.
Repetitive Motion – Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
Talking – Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to others accurately and quickly when necessary.
Hearing – Receiving detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Vision – Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading, using measurement devices, viewing electronic devices, assembling, inspecting small parts and / or operating machines and power tools, operate a motor vehicle and determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work performed.
Work Environment : Work is performed in a shop; both indoors and outdoors. Activities occur inside and outside and are subject to work environments that are not climate controlled, weather, and hot / cold temperature changes, dirt, dust, soot and possibly mold, loud noise, and ladders to use for high heights. Potential hazards such as moving vehicles, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, high heat, and exposure to chemicals, atmospheric conditions (e.g. fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases), or poor ventilation, or a workspace may be exposed to smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water, or other unsanitary conditions as well as being in closed quarters / confined spaces (e.g. crawl spaces, small, enclosed rooms, attics, etc.)
