As a salaried, 12-Month Support Staff member, the Assistant Director of Athletics & Activities is responsible for providing operational support to the Director of Athletics and Activities, including all athletic and extracurricular programs, which are an integral part of the Dallastown Area School District’s total educational experience.

- Tentative Start Date: Monday July 7, 2025
- Salary: Commensurate with experience.

- Maintain an inventory list of uniforms, equipment, and supplies for each athletic program and extracurricular activity as needed.
- Research, make recommendations, and purchase uniforms and equipment for the various athletic and extracurricular programs as necessary.
- Assist with the conduct performance evaluations of all coaching on an annual basis. Maintain supervision of all coaches and advisors in line with their duties relating to their programs, practices, games and events
- Maintain a list of all athletic and extracurricular activity schedules.
- Record and maintain accurate athletic statistics for various athletic programs.
- Assist in maintaining the athletic booster clubs and extracurricular activities fundraisers’ calendar district wide.
- Coordinate the transportation needs associated with all athletic and extracurricular activities.
- Serve as a direct contact between the coaches and/or advisors of activities and the Director, Athletics and Activities.
- Prepare for and attend athletic and extracurricular events as directed by the Director, Athletics and Activities to ensure smooth and efficient execution of the events. To include, coordination of event worker staff, security, ticket allotments, and preparation of equipment and supplies.
- During events, work diligently to have coaches, advisors, students, and spectators behave with respect and dignity while representing Dallastown Area School District.
- Coordinate and maintain and schedule event workers for various athletic contests as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance and updating the athletic department website.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Activities.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education or Sports Management
- Knowledge of athletic event management
- Knowledge of PIAA rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Arbiter, Schedule Star and Ref Pay systems is preferred.
- Flexible schedule
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.
- Completion and submission of all mandated pre-employment documents and information.
- Such additions or alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable consistent with applicable Pennsylvania law, regulations and requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
