Summary of Position
Plan, organize, and oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, acting as a central point of communication and coordination for the project team and stakeholders.
Budgetary/Supervisory Responsibilities
- Work with the Operations Leadership Team to establish projects which support the growth of our business
- Lead and manage multiple manufacturing projects from inception through execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
Principal Duties/Tasks
- Work with Operations to establish projects which accomplish the plant business objectives.
- Establish project plans, tasks, resources, and ownership to ensure timelines are met.
- Manage internal and external projects which may extend to suppliers and contract Manufacturers.
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the planning and execution of projects
- Proactively work to remove project obstacles, identify, and manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities
- Actively drive the enhancement of project management processes, tooling and templates to improve the project management function
- Provide timely status reports and program summaries including scope/schedule/quality risks, project status, resource allocation and customer impact
- Identify and manage costs associated with project budgets.
- Assures customer delivery and quality is not impacted by project execution
- Partner with Operations and Quality to drive improvement projects through Manufacturing
- Review and optimize Manufacturing Processes which will range from product assembly to higher level transactional processes.
- Create and document new processes as required.
- Partner with Manufacturing team and transition manufacturing to Lean.
