Pay: $16.50 plus commissions

Dalton Motors is located less than 20 minutes from most areas of San Diego. Founded in 1945, Dalton Motors is a family owned and operated business with over 35 dealerships serving major manufacturers including Subaru and others. We have ongoing training for our staff, including training from the manufacturer, new product on-line training, and job specific training by our in-house trainer. Our dealership runs smoothly in large part due to our solid processes and trained, skilled staff, many of whom have been here for twenty years or more.
Some of What You’ll do:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries received through the dealership's website, e-mail, and phone.
- Engage with potential customers to build rapport, answer questions, and guide them through the vehicle purchase process.
- Ensure that every lead is followed up on, and appointments are scheduled to drive foot traffic to the dealership.
- Provide consistent and timely communication to customers throughout the sales process to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop and maintain an Internet sales process that begins with initial contact and continues through vehicle ownership.
- Ensure the sales process is efficient, customer-friendly, and optimized for conversion.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create an effective hand off from the Internet team to in-dealership sales staff.
- Recruit, hire, and train an Internet-savvy sales team committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular training to ensure the team is equipped with the latest product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service strategies.
- Foster a team environment focused on achieving sales targets, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the dealership's website and online advertising comply with Toyota brand standards and guidelines.
- Work closely with marketing teams to enhance the dealership’s digital presence and optimize website performance to maximize lead generation.
- Oversee the purchasing of Internet media and managing online advertising budgets to effectively promote vehicles and services.
- Develop and manage targeted Internet lead generation campaigns and promotions to drive customer engagement and sales.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for lead generation, conversions, and overall sales performance.
- Implement and oversee strategies to continually improve the dealership's online presence and sales outcomes.
- Track and report on Internet sales performance, including lead generation, follow-up effectiveness, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Use data to identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategies to meet goals, and report performance to dealership leadership.
- Ensure all customer interactions, whether online, via phone, or in person, are handled professionally, promptly, and effectively.
- Resolve any customer concerns or issues with a focus on delivering a seamless and positive experience.
- Strive to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, aiming to exceed customer expectations at every touchpoint.
- Develop Internet Sales Department business plans, forecasting projected sales, expenses, and necessary upgrades or technology enhancements.
- Collaborate with dealership leadership to set and track department goals and objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and strategies to improve sales processes and team efficiency.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in automotive sales, specifically in Internet sales or digital marketing.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism.
- Knowledge of Toyota products and brand standards is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate sales data and customer behavior.
- Proficient with CRM systems, Internet marketing tools, and dealership management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
