What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Administrative Assistant/Receptionist position at Daly City Podiatry Group?
Busy Podiatry clinic seeking Medical Administrative Assistant/Front Desk to join our team. We are a cozy, small private podiatry clinic with 3 doctors on schedule. Our office is located in beautiful Daly City, CA near the Serramonte Mall, Colma BART Station . The position is 32-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-3:00PM. We strive to create a friendly and supportive work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred but not required a minimum of six months experience working in facilities, contract, and procurement field
- Preferred but not required Medical Assistant certification
- A demonstrated ability to take charge of projects, overcome obstacles, and move them to completion with minimal supervision
- Answering phone calls and scheduling patients for appointments (follow ups, procedures, etc)
- Providing customer / patient service over the telephone
- Insurance verification and obtaining authorizations (*plus with knowledge of insurance companies HMO, PPO, Medicare etc.)
- Processing charts, reports and uploading information to patient charts as necessary
- Respond to voicemails, and faxes; forwarding to doctors/staff
- Submit prior authorizations for office visits (day of, future visits etc.)

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
