- Follows the direction of ABA Program Director.
- Assists during initial ABA assessments and psychological testing.
- Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations, which may include client physical aggression.
- Consistently implements ABA strategies to reduce client’s maladaptive behavior or to improve adaptive behavior.
- Provides direct therapy as designed in the client’s treatment plan.
- Shows initiative by identifying solutions to work towards improving stakeholder satisfaction.
- Works with clients, staff, clients’ families, and the community in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Participates in Parent’s Night Out and Before and After Care services.
- Conducts and supervises recreational and life enrichment activities.
- Assists with administrative needs, such as, scanning, filing, and/or record review.
- Completes timely and accurate billing notes when providing direct therapy.
- Understands client’s rights and protects them by promptly reporting any violations.
- Completes all required documentation daily, in a professional manner – must be objective, accurate, and thorough – to provide consistent client treatment.
What you need to start...
- High school diploma.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
- No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
