Client Profile - A nonprofit community service center.
Job Summary - Responsible for preparing meals using standardized recipes for regular and therapeutic diets; appearance is important. Must adhere to local Department of Health regulations and company policies. Inspect food deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Duties
- Prepare weekly menus that reflect child and adult care food program requirements
- Work with administration team for approval
- Prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks for all classrooms. Breakfast 7am to 8ish; Prepping for lunch between 9am to 10am; Prepping for next day breakfast 3pm to 4 : 30pm
- Serve meals to each classroom on time, at the appropriate temperature
- Work with staff to collect meal numbers before food preparation of each meal
- Prepare appropriate amounts of food for each classroom, with amounts served meeting staff food program guidelines.
- Maintain daily production and reporting
- Trained on making weekly food orders through vendors
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen including food storage areas (make sure all thermometers are working properly, food items are checked for expiration dates, wash and sanitize all dishes, clean the entire kitchen and appliances throughout the day, remove trash and recyclables daily, put a way groceries)
- Build positive relationships with team members
- Assist with other duties as assigned
