Server/cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, taking orders, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Your ability to upsell menu items and handle cash transactions accurately will contribute to the overall success of our café.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
• Process payments using the Aloha POS system or other point-of-sale systems.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
• Upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems (Aloha POS experience is a plus).
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.41 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
