What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician position at Dameron Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Functions as an integral member of the patient care team under the direction, leadership, and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for patient comfort, safety, and personal care. Will perform various patient care activities related to the services necessary during gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations. Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a union position.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Education or training relevant to gastrointestinal procedures.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) education is preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Minimum two years of gastrointestinal experience required.
- CNA or LVN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Current California CNA Certification or LVN License is preferred but not required.
- Current BLS Certification required.
Salary : $25 - $31
