POSITION SUMMARY:
Position has a system-wide scope of responsibility and involves the integration of operations across organizational units. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Posting of financial transaction entries to patient accounts; researching and reconciling payments and adjustments; processing electronic remittance advices for both Medicare and Medi-Cal; maintaining billing and financial records and assists in billing submission and follow-up as needed. This is a union position.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent with emphasis on commercial courses preferred. Must possess bookkeeping skills. Must be proficient in the English language. Must possess operational knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and other office machines.
Experience:
One year bookkeeping or office experience; minimum of six (6) months hospital billing experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
None.
