We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Analyst/Compliance Coordinator to support hospital compliance, data analysis, and regulatory functions.
Position Summary:
Coordinates the implementation and maintenance of departmental information systems and serves as a system resource specialist in support of the operational goals of the department. Designs, analyzes, documents, implements, tests, and manages existing programs, reports, and dictionaries. Coordinates upgrade enhancements to existing programs. Additionally, ensures hospital compliance with healthcare regulations through auditing, training, policy development, and risk assessment.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
Experience:
- Three years' technical experience: Preferred
- Electronic Medical Records experience: Preferred
- Data analysis and database experience: Preferred

Duties and Responsibilities: Quality Analyst Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain hospital data systems to support operational goals.
- Develop, implement, and enhance departmental programs, reports, and dictionaries.
- Perform system analysis, documentation, and testing to ensure effective performance.
- Assist with upgrades and improvements to existing programs.
- Analyze hospital data to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Ensure the hospital adheres to all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including accreditation standards.
- Perform regular internal audits to assess compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices, identifying potential risks of non-compliance.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of hospital policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for hospital staff on compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical practices.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks by working with various hospital departments to address potential issues.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies, and respond to inquiries or audits from agencies such as CMS, OSHA, and state health departments.
- Assist in preparing for external regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring all required documentation and procedures are in place.
- Maintain records of compliance activities, incidents, audits, and corrective actions taken, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Work closely with hospital leadership and other departments to ensure ongoing compliance and address any emerging regulatory challenges.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in healthcare laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the hospital remains compliant.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans in response to identified compliance violations or areas of improvement.
- Safeguard sensitive patient and hospital data in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the hospital’s compliance program.
