Position Summary:
Dameron Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Application Specialist to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MS400 and be proficient in supporting and managing hospital-based software applications. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of various healthcare applications, assisting with system implementations, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user support. The Systems Application Specialist will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to optimize system performance and enhance the quality of patient care through technology solution
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the MS400 system, including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization of applications within the healthcare environment.
- Work closely with end-users to provide training and ongoing support for hospital information systems.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to install, configure, and maintain healthcare applications, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and comply with regulatory standards.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and resolve any issues to ensure uninterrupted access to critical systems and data.
- Manage application updates, patches, and releases to ensure the systems remain up-to-date and secure.
- Serve as a liaison between the IT department and hospital staff to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions into daily operations.
- Assist with data migration, system integrations, and application deployments as required.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to system configurations, user access, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure system resiliency and data integrity.
- Provide on-call support as needed for critical system issues or downtime.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with MS400 is a must (preferably in a healthcare environment).
- Proven experience working with healthcare applications, clinical software systems, and hospital management platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, such as HIPAA, and an understanding of security best practices in healthcare systems.
- Experience with database management, data analysis, and report generation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional hospital information systems, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), or Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
- Knowledge of other relevant software and platforms used in healthcare IT.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and integration techniques.
