Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Real Estate Attorney with 2 to 5 years experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential real estate conveyancing and will play a critical role in reviewing purchase and sale contracts and advising clients on various aspects of real estate transactions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Pay is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions and closings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Conduct title research and title abstracts.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding real estate transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations that may impact clients' interests.
Requirements
- 2-5 year experience in real estate conveyancing and real estate law.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Vermont.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed legal research effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
