POSITION SUMMARY :
This FT position as a Truck Driver / Yard Jockey carries a CDL and the primarily responsibility is as a yard jockey- jockeys trucks and equipment between our local MN locations. This position will also do some local driving-transporting our products in a semi, box truck, or sprinter van to our local retail locations. Truck Drivers may also be responsible for transporting road crews and temporary greenhouses to our retail locations in the spring and returning them at the end of the season. This is a full time, year around position but due to our seasonal business, our Truck Drivers will not be driving full time, year-round. During the downtime, drivers will participate in projects assigned throughout the greenhouse as well as general fleet maintenance.
Driving Responsibilities :
- Driving semi tractor trailers, box trucks, or sprinter vans to and from local MN greenhouses and local routes to retail locations safely and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate and compliant electronic logs.
- Pushing / pulling carts on / off automatic liftgate.
- Maintaining communication with Logistics Coordinator and / or Transportation Manager on all routes and any issues that arise on the routes, vehicles or deliveries.
- Maintaining a positive, professional and helpful attitude with customers and coworkers.
Off Season Responsibilities :
Basic fleet maintenance such as fueling and washes.
