Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their parts inquiries and orders
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to accurately identify and locate the correct parts for customers
- Maintain knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and their compatibility with different vehicle makes and models
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and negotiate pricing
- Assist in the coordination of inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of parts
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure efficient and accurate fulfillment of parts requests
- Utilize an order management system for tracking and processing parts orders
- Perform data entry tasks to update customer records and maintain accurate inventory information
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive dealership or repair shop setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of auto body repair processes
- Ability to fabricate or modify parts as needed to meet customer requirements
- Familiarity with various automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and order processing
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and provide solutions to their needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and inventory management
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to parts availability or compatibility
- Proficient in negotiating with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of parts
