Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Offer support for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Document patient observations and care provided accurately in daily logs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care or home health settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is essential.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory at the time of application.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs and location.
