We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join the Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota Collision Center team. As a Paint Prepper, you will be instrumental in ensuring vehicles are prepped to perfection for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work in auto body preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas for painting.
- Inspect vehicles for damage and determine the necessary prep work.
- Buff and polish surfaces using specialized tools and equipment.
- Assist with applying primers and other preparatory coatings.
- Collaborate with painters to maintain workflow and uphold quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks, including basic mechanical checks and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, buffing, or auto painting is preferred.
- Knowledge of auto body repair techniques and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Experience with auto estimating or welding is a bonus but not required.
